Psychotherapy Matters

Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Clinic (PMVC) is a virtual collaborative clinic that bring together the client, their therapist and primary care practitioner with a psychiatrist. This setup enables your healthcare team to communicate and coordinate to provide comprehensive and timely services.

Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Clinic offers two streams of service.

The primary stream is for general inquiries into mental health struggles, seeking diagnostic clarification, psychological interventions, or medication recommendations. While the psychiatrist’s time is covered by OHIP, your therapist’s time is not included. You will be responsible for covering LDM’s therapy time during the appointment.

The second stream of service is solely for ADHD assessment. Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Clinic charges a $350 administration fee to facilitate the in-depth assessment, essential for providing crucial background information aiding the psychiatrist in determining the diagnosis.

Important Details

Wait times for the Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Clinic are typically 2-8 weeks.

I need to have at least 2 sessions with you before I am permitted to refer you for service.
If you are in couples counselling with me, I am unable to offer this service to you.
Upon completion of the assessment, your primary health care provider will receive a copy.
If you complete the PMVC consent form, I can keep a copy of your report on file.
These services are not meant for workplace claims (WSIB) or parenting capacities. The primary goal is to address mental health concerns and to provide tailored support.
